Restaurant Twenty Two
Overview
Restaurant Twenty-Two is the debut restaurant of partners Sam Carter and Alex Olivier. The restaurant occupies a quaint Victorian heritage house, with stained glass windows nestled into its brickwork that date back to 1892. Located in a historic corner of Cambridge, just off the River Cam on Jesus Green, the restaurant is in the perfect location for a leisurely lunch after a stroll (or punt!) alongthe river. By night, its atmospheric candlelit dining rooms offer a special space to enjoy inventive yet fulfilling food for all occasions. Sam’s menu is inspired by his many years working at Michelin level at some of the country’s top restaurants (Hambleton Hall and Maze by Gordon Ramsay, to name only two). But the real inspiration comes from the ingredients delivered each day — using the best local suppliers and presenting a regularly changing menu that reflects the most seasonal produce the area has to offer.
