Best Restaurants

Overview

With roots in Chinese mythology, the name "Longwang" is an homage to the revered Dragon King (God) of the Sea — a fitting moniker for Queensland's first Asian bar and restaurant by seafood virtuoso, Michael Tassis. The menu applies contemporary interpretations to the best elements of traditional Asian-style dining. Expect fresh local produce, dished up in bold and punchy ways - and of course, plenty of seafood options. The stage for the dining experience is a Brisbane first - custom-built over two stories in what was once a laneway between two high-rise buildings. At just 3 meters wide, the restaurant on both levels extends 30 meters. Highlights include a private dining area, 'Chefs Table,' and an open-air bar with curved frontage extending above Edward Street.
