Lina Yew still remembers her first taste of duck confit — she had just moved to Paris, first night out, and stumbled upon a little bistro just two doors from home. She took the recommendation and ordered the Confit de Canard. Her first bite into the luscious duck leg, she thought to herself, 'This is the best thing ever.' A love affair for French bistro-fare began there. Mathilde French Bistro is a partnership between Lina Yew and her husband, Thierry Clement, also chef-owner of L'ardoise French Bistro, situated in San Francisco's Duboce Triangle.
